It started with a shared love of great cuisine. The owners have been partners in Barry Catering for more than 30 years. Ellen, the granddaughter of a caterer, has loved to bake for as long as she can remember, crafting delicious pastries she calls her “works of art.” Barry who grew up in a family of “absolutely awful cooks” indulged in intricate, complicated recipes as soon as he took off for college. “I didn’t know what great food tasted like until I started cooking for myself,” he jokes. From hosting a gourmet club, to owning a restaurant, to building a successful catering company, Barry and Ellen have never lost their passion for fabulous food, their commitment to friendly, attentive, efficient service, and their delight in putting together an event to remember for each and every client. It’s no wonder they hear time and again, “can I take you home with me?”
